Coolaroo Summer Shade Giveaway 2025 Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter
GALE Pacific Limited (ABN 80 082 263 778), trading as Coolaroo Australia, of 145 Woodlands Drive, Braeside VIC 3195 ("Promoter").

2. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, Cancer Council Australia, and associated agencies are ineligible to enter. By entering, entrants warrant they meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Promotion Period
The competition commences at 9:00am AEDT on 26 November 2025 and closes at 11:59pm AEDT on 10 December 2025 ("Promotion Period"). Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.
Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission by the entrant. 

4. Entry Requirements
To enter, participants must during the Promotion Period:
(a) . Follow @CoolarooAU on Facebook and @Coolaroo.ANZ on Instagram;
(b) Comment on the official competition post in 25 words or less telling us why you love to seek shade with Coolaroo, and tag the person you love sharing it with; and
(c) Share the post to their story on either Facebook or Instagram and tag @CoolarooAU or @Coolaroo.ANZ.

Limit: One entry per platform per person. Duplicate entries or entries that are incomplete, offensive, or infringe third-party rights will be invalid. Entrants with private accounts must ensure visibility for verification.

By entering, entrants grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and publish their entry for promotional purposes.

5. Game of Skill
This is a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining winners. No permit is required under Victorian law.

6. Judging
Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, and alignment with Coolaroo and Cancer Council brand values. Judging will occur at 145 Woodlands Drive, Braeside VIC 3195 on 9 December 2025. Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. Prizes
Four (4) prize packs valued at approx. AUD $746.13 each (total prize pool AUD $2,984.52). Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Items may vary subject to availability; substitutes of equal or greater value may be provided.

8. Winner Notification
Winners will be notified via direct message within five (5) business days and announced on Coolaroo’s social media pages. If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next best entry.

9. Delivery
Prizes will be delivered free of charge to addresses within Australia only. Delivery outside Australia is not available.

Prizes will be dispatched within four (4) weeks of the winner providing accurate delivery details. The Promoter does not guarantee delivery before Christmas or any specific date.

Winners must:
(a) Provide correct and complete delivery details; and
(b) Be available to accept delivery.

If a prize is returned, undeliverable, or refused, the Promoter may require the winner to cover redelivery costs or may deem the prize forfeited.

Risk of loss or damage passes to the winner once the prize is handed to the delivery provider. The Promoter is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage in transit except where required by law.
Any ancillary costs incurred as a result of taking the Prize are not included in the Prize and are the responsibility of the winners. 

10. Social Media Disclaimer
Entrants acknowledge this competition is in no way associated with, administered or endorsed by Facebook, Instagram or Meta Platforms Inc. Any information disclosed by entrants entering this competition is not provided to Meta Platforms Inc. and entrants release these platforms from any liability.

11. Liability & Privacy
The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such personal information to other third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or injury arising from participation or prize acceptance. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy at www.coolaroo.com/privacy-policy.

12. General
The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries, disqualify entrants who breach these Terms, and cancel or amend the promotion if unforeseen circumstances arise. 
The Promoter reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time in its sole discretion, with such updates including but not limited to, extending the Promotion Period.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
